Who gets a kayak provided by us?
Only entrants who select the "10km solo" category have access to our kayaks on race day. They get transport (swimmer and paddler) to the 10km start where a kayak and paddle is issued to them. Maximum paddler weight 110kg.
When do registrations open?
Registrations open 9am (WA time) on 1st November each year (6 months prior to the Swim) and will sell-out quickly!
Can you help organise my team?
Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming popularity of the event, the Committee is unable to assist individual teams form.
We do offer the "10km solo" category to allow swimmers to fly in with a mate and take part in our great event. Entrants have had success hooking up with crew on facebook, via the Coles noticeboard and advertising in the Kimberley Echo.
What about NT boats and Skippers?
NT boats do not require WA registrations if in the State for less than one month.
However, all skippers to require the equivalent of a WA Skippers Ticket to drive a powered boat.
What category can I enter without a powered support boat?
All entry categories require a motorised support vessel (with skipper) and kayak (with paddler) except the "10km solo". The "10km solo" category allows you to fly in with a mate and swim the 10km solo, we will provide the kayak, paddle and get you both to the 10km start.
Who gets a Gala Dinner ticket?
All registered swimmers, skipper (one per team) and paddler (one per team) has a Gala Dinner ticket included with their registration.
In "10km solo" category - the swimmer and paddler have a dinner ticket included with their registration.
What is your Refund Policy
Our event terms and conditions are posted on our Registration page and agreed to by checking our waiver when registering.
All registrations have the option of purchasing "secure ticket" insurance in the event you need a refund. We recommend this if your circumstances are likely to change.
Policy: I understand if I withdraw from the event for any reason, I will not get a refund.
